Fear

Fear of Life, Fear of Death,

Which is dearer?

Life gives you the best at all stages,

But Troubles are all you bear.

Forgotten is the Happiness in life,

Happiness now overwritten by Troubles

Troubles are like knife,

Slaughtering the body, mind and soul.

Troubles beget Worries,

And worrisome you become

Crashing from anxiety

When at the end, life succumbs

Fear of Life, Fear of Death

Which is dearer?

Death is led by what, you may ponder

Thinking it is the troubles with which you wander.

Nay, it is the Fear of the unknown,

Fear of the darkness, Fear of the judgment –

A verdict on the life of troubles you have lived

That makes you dreadful of bereavement

Fear of Life, Fear of Death

Why bother which is dearer?

Think what your answer would be,

When with one foot in the grave at Ninety

Death asks, “To your heart’s content, lived have thee?”

Put aside your worriment

And live a life that leads to eternal contentment

Fear of Life, Fear of Death

Why bother which is dearer?
